About Vietnam

Vietnam – A country of magic and mystique

With a population of around 82 million people, and a coastline stretching for 2000 km north to south, Vietnam is a country bursting with life, fantastic food, a vibrant and diverse culture, tropical climate and many, many beaches.

While northern Vietnam is considered the epicenter of Vietnamese culture, southern Vietnam has been the home of a greater variety of competing kingdoms and cultures in its recent history. The mysterious Cham kingdom, which stretched throughout much of what is today central Vietnam, found its limit around Mui Ne, and there are still architectural relics from their presence over 800 years ago.

Vietnamese cuisine is renowned around the world for its freshness and use of many healthy herbs and vegetables. The Vietnamese are also notorious for eating anything that walks, so do not expect your pallet to become bored.

Above all, it’s Vietnam’s physical beauty and climate that make it truly special. With a coastline stretching 3,260 km, it is very much a country shaped by the sea. With the warm winds of the South China Sea lapping its coastal waters, it is pretty much perfect for kite surfing.
